Influences: Industrial Love

This is another entry a bit off my usual style…but it’s my blog!  I’ll do what I want!  ^_^

Long before I happened on such groovy awesomeitude as Justice and Big Gigantic, my love affair with EDM began at a little place we call The Church.  It’s the Lizard Lounge on Wednesdays and Sundays–industrial and 80’s nights for the freaks and fetishists of the Dallas area.  I don’t get out there as often as I used to, but when I did…man, was it good times!  When I think back on those nights, a few things come to mind:  bass in my boots, contagious laughter, and a whole lot of time on a dance floor.  These nights, and the music that accompanied them, shaped my tastes as a musician and have a heavy influence on me even now.
